Geography Alliance Network

National Geographic Society and BSCS team up for professional development workshop

On March 1, BSCS Executive Director Janet Carlson presented a workshop titled Designing Effective Professional Development at the National Geographic Society (NGS) Alliance Network meeting in Washington, DC.

Workshop participants included members of state geography alliances served by the NGS's outreach organizations. The NGS has supported the Alliance for many years in an effort to provide grassroots sites for teacher development and advocacy for geographic literacy.
