Middle School

Middle SchoolBSCS's middle school curriculum includes the third edition of BSCS Science & Technology, (2005). BSCS Science & Technology is a multilevel, thematic program that integrates life, earth and physical sciences in the context of themes and issues that have meaning for middle school students. The program incorporates video-based activities, developed by the Agency for Instructional Technology, that take an inquiry approach to specific problems.

Also offered for middle school students is Making Healthy Decisions, a comprehensive health-education curriculum for grades 5 through 8. The units address the six areas the Centers for Disease Control have identified as those most important in preventing the onset of high-risk behaviors among adolescents that lead to premature death, disease and disability later in life.
