The wonder of discovery in a child's eyes...promoting "science as inquiry" through innovative curriculum relevant to today's students...providing ongoing leadership to support teaching about biological evolution...effecting system-wide change in science education at the school district level...contributing to national and international standards for science education...researching what is most effective for science learners and teachers...helping enhance workforce skills for the 21st Century...and ultimately, spearheading the goal of a scientifically literate population...these are all examples of how BSCS provides value that affects the quality of this nation's science education.
