My work focuses on designing instructional materials for K-12 science classrooms. Recent projects include\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/bscs.org\/educator_resource\/openscied-middle-grades-science-units\/\">OpenSciEd Middle School<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/bscs.org\/educator_resource\/covid-19-health-equity-units\/\">OpenSciEd Covid-19 &amp; Health Equity<\/a>, <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/bscs.org\/rd-programs\/place-based-learning-for-elementary-science-at-scale\/\"><em>Place-based learning for elementary science at scale <\/em>(PeBLES2)<\/a>,<em>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/bscs.org\/educator_resource\/bscs-biology-understanding-for-life\/\">BSCS Biology: Understanding for Life<\/a><\/em>. Prior to these recent projects, I was the project director for the Environmental Literacy Teacher Guides series at National Geographic Society and a curriculum designer for the Environmental Literacy Project at Michigan State University (now called CarbonTIME).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reasons I\u2019m excited about this project:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>Equipping science teachers to provide high-quality, data-driven, and meaningful learning experiences to youth about climate change is critical.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":263,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"profile_type":[4],"class_list":["post-329","profile","type-profile","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","profile_type-project-team"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
