What is the Pilot Phase of NextGen TIME like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the Pilot phase, teachers collect evidence at they teach at least one unit from each program still under consideration. The additional evidence is analyzed to inform selection and implementation of the best program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timeline for the Pilot phase varies based on the number of programs to be piloted and duration of the units selected for use in the classroom. The Pilot phase includes three important components: time for teachers to plan for the classroom pilot of a unit of materials, time for them to implement the unit of instructions and collect artifacts, and time for them to come back together to analyze the evidence they collect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilot planning requires approximately one day per program to be tested in the classroom. The analysis of evidence collected during the classroom test requires approximately one day per program tested in the classroom. The Pilot phase may span several months for each program being tested in the classroom.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
