Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist

Kate Chambers is an award-winning graphic designer who started working at BSCS in 2020 when she was in design school. She designs curriculum graphics and brand identities for multiple projects at BSCS. Kate also works with the marketing team to design marketing materials. She loves that she can use design to help make a positive impact on science education through her work.

A lot of graphic designers have an artistic background, but that is not the case with Kate. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied sociology and anthropology, and after that she acquired her associates in multimedia graphic design from Pikes Peak Community College. Kate combines her knowledge of people and cultures with her design skills to create strategic designs that appeal to the right audiences and send the right visual message. Her passion lies in designing branding and marketing materials because that is the area of graphic design where social science, design thinking, and business come together.

When Kate isn’t designing graphics for BSCS, she spends most of her time working on projects for her own company where she specializes in assisting small businesses with their brand strategy and brand design. She also serves as the public service committee chair for the American Advertising Federation of Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, concerts, and travelling.
