Strategies include engaging students thinking and organizing instruction in a way that connects science ideas. Teachers learn to use these strategies by analyzing classroom videos and units, and sharing their thinking in facilitated sessions with other teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The STeLLA program usually takes place in-person over the course of one school year, during which teachers apply what they\u2019re learning in their own classrooms. Participants will become more effective and confident science teachers. STeLLA significantly increases student achievement in science. This program is designed for long-term, sustainable impact across your district. Your participation will yield insights that contribute to the advancement of science education nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, BSCS Science Learning has introduced its proven STeLLA program to hundreds of K-12 science teachers and thousands of students across Kentucky and Tennessee. Participants get access to high quality professional learning (PL) and effective instructional materials.
