Stephen Traphagen, M.S., M.Ed., is a biology and AP biology teacher at Oak Park and River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois, and a Senior Fellow with the Knowles Teacher initiative.

His professional interests include scientific argumentation, fostering authentic scientific practice in the classroom, and the intersection between cohesive high school science curriculum and equity and access for students.

Mr. Traphagen joined the BSCS Board of Directors in 2013.
